New Sunday Morning Series–Begins Tomorrow!
Pastor Mike starts a new sermon series called, “How to Enjoy the Ride of Life” on October 6th! Tomorrow’s sermon will help us know how to enjoy the ride of life when life is a roller coaster! Next Sunday, October 13th, pastor Mike will preach the 2nd sermon in this series: “How to enjoy the ride of life when your life falls apart! Come and see how you can enjoy life no matter what life brings!
New Adult Bible Study–Wednesday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m.!
Pastor Mike will start a new 5 week Bible study from the Old Testament book of Ruth called, “Clear and Present Redemption”, on Wednesday, October 9th at 7 p.m.! During this practical Bible study we will discover how God brought redemption to a few unlikely widows and how He has brought redemption to us today!
The Resistance teen ministry (grades 7-12) and the Kids Zone kid’s ministry (K4-6th grade) meet on Wednesday at 7:00 p. m. We have a loving nursery for children 0-3 years of age as well.
Children’s Christmas Program Kickoff Party—October 13th!
Parents and kids mark your calendars! On Sunday, October 13th at 6:00 p.m. there will be a Children’s Christmas program kickoff party and practice! Miss Kelly Alford will be helping our kids prepare for the program, which will be on Sunday, December 15th, at 6 pm. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend our Sunday evening service at 6 p.m. while the children practice for the Christmas program.
2013 Stewardship Sundays–Begin October 20th!
Our Stewardship Sundays will be October 20th, 27th, and November 3rd and 10th. Our theme is Be Faithful! Every Stewardship Sunday we will have a joint Sunday school class at 10 a.m. (teens and adults) Sunday worship services at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Each Stewardship Sunday will give us an opportunity to discover what it means to be faithful stewards of God here at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Pastor Mike will be speaking for all services on October 20th and November 10th. Dr. Charles Shoemaker will be our guest speaker for all services on October 27th, and Dr. Ed Gibson will be our guest speaker for all services on November 3rd. Each stewardship Sunday is a “No Miss” Sunday! Mark your calendars, pray, and plan to attend each and every service!
Fall Festival–Oct 26th!
We will be having our fall festival on Saturday, October 26th at 5 p.m. at the Wilkerson’s home. There will be games, good food, and a hay ride! Please see Miss BJ Wilkerson to volunteer to help. Sign up to come and bring a food item at the back table!
2 Peter 3:18 says, “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” God is growing us at EBC! We are growing upward in our relationship with God; inward in our relationship with one another; and outward in our reaching others with the Gospel! And that’s awesome!
